Kenza & Xander
So, what if you live somewhere in Asia (and to make things a bit complex; one of you works in Vietnam and the other in Singapore) and you decide to get married at the place you’re originally from, in this case, the Netherlands? Logistically a bit of a challenge, no?
Kenza and Xander, a Dutch expat couple currently living far, far away from here went for it and they managed very well! Instead of hiring a wedding planner (which could be a very good option too), they started with finding some great locations with a lot of experience when it comes weddings. These locations were then able to do take over a lot of work. As for me, Kenza found me through a fellow photographer from the Netherlands. After a Skype call they decided they’d like me to photograph their wedding and it happened to be a great experience!
The day started at Hotel Huis ter Duin for the preparations. After the first look (which included their close ones) we walked a bit to Breakers, the beach club from the hotel for a nice informal gathering. Then we walked (by the beach of course) to an old church in Noordwijk where Klooster, an event planner, had everything set up for a great dinner, the wedding ceremony (by night) followed by a legendary party. A bit unorthodox schedule-wise, but it worked out very well! Here’s some nice shots of the day!
